OUR PROGRAMS
Individual and/or group participation will
be entirely dependent upon the appropriate responsible party. Some of the available
natural experiences are:

Exploration of the Central
Oregon High Desert: This includes the coming and passing of Native
Americans and Homesteaders as well as Geological and Biological History.

Wildlife Observation
on the Edmunds Well Wildlife Sanctuary, the neighboring "Summer Lake Wildlife
Area", the Summer Lake Basin, the Fort Rock and Christmas Valley areas. Year around
residents of the Summer Lake Basin also include muskrats, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes,
badger, weasels, cougar, black bear, antelope and deer, plus many more.

Star Gazers:
Clear night skies without surrounding lights provide a wealth of adventure for all levels.

Fishing & Hiking: Match your skills with Trout, Largemouth Bass, Crappe, and
Bluegill to hearts delights. You will be able to "Catch and Release" or
"Catch your Dinner" in a different spot everyday.

Bird Watching:
For the Bird Watcher, the Sanctuary and surrounding area are nesting sites and staging
areas for both North and South Migration periods. Migrating snow geese and swans, nesting
and migrating Canada geese, ducks, sandhill cranes, pelicans, herons, countless shore
and song birds are among the species that you will encounter.

Sanctuary Improvement
Activities such as building observation and
photography blinds, trail signs, bench and trail construction, planting of bird and animal
cover and food source vegetation will be encouraged by groups and visitors, All such
activities will be voluntary.
